This was the first instance of refreshing an identity we designed. The company started life as Lyon Management when the owner was a Certified Management Accountant. When the focus shifted to eco-tourism, the decision was taken to change the name to something less corporate and more emotive. After five years, the lion symbol was well liked and would remain. The original project was to update the identity with the new name, but we requested a chance to review the lion. We felt it could be altered slightly to create a greater sense of motion. The corporate typeface was replaced with a stronger font. The longer name also prompted the notion that the lion could walk along the top of the letters.
